I was born and raised in Calgary, AB, and skiing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents worked in the ski industry, my mom ran the ski school at the local hills and my dad was a ski coach. I always love skiing and grew up racing alpine but took every chance I could get to get outside the gates and hit the terrain park or find some pow. I eventually made my way onto the Canadian Team for alpine racing, and around this time Ski Cross became an Olympic sport. My love of air time pulled me over to the SX team and after one camp I was hooked and made the decision to switch sports. Ski Cross has treated me well, especially in the last few years and I have been fortunate to find the podium many times over my career. For me, the best moments have been winning X Games in 2016 and then having my childhood dream come true in 2018 when I won Olympic gold.
I was fortunate to grow up an active kid, and try my hand at a ton of different sports in my life. I believe that sport and play are an important part of growing up, so supporting an organization like kidsport that helps provide sport funding to kids who might not otherwise get a chance is an opportunity that I am very grateful to have.
