Here at KidSport, we believe in the power of collaboration! It is important to us to find like-minded organizations to work with to ensure that ALL Calgarians that need support are able to get it. With that, we are excited to announce that we are now a proud partner of Gateway.
Gateway helps immigrants and refugees succeed in their new home. The key to success in moving to a new country, learning a new language, or starting a new career, is ensuring you have the right support in place. Gateway acts as a personal guide to help each newcomer through their unique journey, connecting them to the right programs and services to reach their goals—and build the life they’ve been envisioning.
Gateway will be able to connect us with newcomers that need us so that ALL kids have the opportunity to play and learn life skills through sport. Participation in sport is a GREAT way for kids (and their families) to make new friends, gain confidence, and build a community. For newcomers, this is a fantastic way to make a new place start to feel like home.
