Carolina Romeo played for Team Canada in field hockey and ringette on various teams throughout 2008 and 2013. In 2008, Carolina became the youngest Female athlete in Canadian Interuniversity Sport when at the age of 15 she played her first field hockey game for the University of Calgary. Throughout her time at the University of Calgary, Carolina was a Chancellor’s Club Scholar, a Canada Top 20 Under 20 recipient, became a National Champion, organized a sports camp for underprivileged kids and coached various sports teams. Although she stepped back from the national team in 2013 to start her engineering career, she continued to play ringette competitively in the National Ringette League until 2017.

Carolina continues to be involved in the sport community through coaching and volunteering with the alumni association. She is passionate about working with kids, mentoring and learning.

Financial barriers shouldn’t keep any kid from playing and KidSport is helping to remove those barriers. I am passionate about getting kids playing in sport as I believe that sport teaches us essential life skills - from working with others, to building confidence & resilience, to setting goals and staying committed to achieve them… all while staying active! KidSport helped my family.
