Sports is everything to me. Growing up without soccer, during my hardships, I don't know who I would have become today. But without that positive distraction from my adversities, I am sure I wouldn't have learned the lessons of accountability and discipline. These lessons helped me understand why teamwork, community, and an aligned vision and goals ultimately contribute to purpose. Sports gave me the confidence and family I needed when I lost it and kept me focused on something bigger than myself.
