Celebrating Black History Month at KidSport Edmonton, we are featuring some notable members of the Edmonton Black Community who have made significant contributions to the sporting world-whether as athletes, coaches, mentors, or general members of the community.
Our second feature is Kenny M’Pindou, KidSport Edmonton Ambassador and Canadian National Bobsleigh team member. Kenny’s story is inspiring and is proof that resilience and hard work are vital for success. A sport career pivot during the Covid pandemic shifted Kenny’s focus from the grass of the soccer pitch to the ice of the bobsleigh track. Kenny has also faced challenges with injuries and opening up and gaining the confidence and comfort of living with a stutter. We are proud to call Kenny a KidSport Edmonton Ambassador.
